Stormwater Basin Data-Lower Gwynedd Township

Summary

All stormwater basins draining to tributaries of Wissahickon Creek in Lower Gwynedd Township were mapped by PWD in 2006. PWD scientists, contractors, and co-op students from Drexel University examined topographic maps to identify depressions (concentric rings) that were likely to be stormwater basins. Once this screening procedure was complete, the potential basin locations were visited for field verification and photographed with a digital camera. A GPS-enabled ruggedized tablet PC was used to capture points at each basin and record descriptional attributes to GIS. The following basic information was collected about each basin:
